Startups are expensive. We haven’t just been working just on the game, but also on getting the money to cover business and development expenses.
We received a $99,900 grant in 2012 and are in the process of submitting two additional grant proposals. We have our fingers crossed that proposals those will be funded. (Hint, hint, Institute for Educational Science folks if you’re reading this page.)
We won’t hear about additional funding until the end of the summer. Either way, we’re moving ahead with this game. The Julia Group has put about $50,000 of our own money and another $50,000 worth of unpaid time into this game in the last 12 months.
We would love to devote ourselves to the project fulltime, but we still need to pay the bills. The more money we get from this campaign, the more time we can put into the game.
We are also working on a Kickstarter campaign to be launched very shortly. Make sure to check back here for updates.
