My Every Day of Code

In my early twenties, I was working at Fortune 50 company and happened to be on the same flight with one of the senior vice-presidents. They had over-booked first class, so he got bumped and ended up sitting next to me.

Never one to miss an opportunity, I asked him if he had any advice on succeeding in business. He said,

“Do the most important thing you have to do first. That way, even if you get nothing else accomplished the rest of the day, your day has still been productive.”

The most important thing for me is to work on writing the game, so every day begins with an hour of code. I’m now adding an hour of code at the end of every day. It may not be the last thing I do, but I get it in there, so every day has at least two solid hours of me making the game embedded into everything else.
