Then, the app adds an image of something that is not there &#8211; such as characters or 3D elements &#8211; on top of what you see in real life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re still a little confused, that&#8217;s OK. That&#8217;s augmented reality. <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Games are not the only apps that use augmented reality. Augmented reality is becoming more popular and can be used for many different things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, you can use an augmented reality app to measure things instead of a ruler. The image on the left shows the scissors being measured by a traditional ruler.
