“Let me know if there’s anything I can do…”
How many times have you said this to someone? Almost all of us say it, and we usually mean it. Or at least, we mean it to an extent.
But how often do we actually ask people to do anything for us? Not in that, “Could you please pass me the salt?” or “For the love of god, kids, can you pick up your shoes before I lose my mind?!” kind of way, but in a genuine, “Yeah, you know what? Actually there is something you could do.” The kind of thing that would take just a few minutes, but that would really help someone else out.
In the era of crowdfunding, it seems like people are ALWAYS asking, but only for money. Whether or not you have a lot of money. And let’s be honest, most of us want to keep our money. Or even if we’re willing to spend some money on people we like and in support of projects we like, we certainly don’t have the funds to back every gofundme we’re asked to back. So instead of feeling helpful, you find yourself thinking, “Well, I guess, there’s nothing that I can do…”
At 7 Generation Games, we’ve got something that you CAN DO to help us out. It doesn’t cost anything. It doesn’t take but five minutes of your time (no, seriously). And it would REALLY help us out.
As you know (or will know by the end of this sentence), we make educational games to teach math. One thing that would really help us is to up our number of users.
So here’s what you CAN DO! It will take less than five minutes. And not in that “less than five minutes, but actually like half an hour” way, but literally less than five minutes.

The more times an app is downloaded, the higher it moves up in search in the App and Google Play stores – and this matters because there’s literally hundreds of thousands of educational apps out there (most of which are pretty meh), and small companies like ours need every edge we can get to rise above the noise.
