For the (school) IT crowd

There are certain questions that arise (torment you!) when you work in IT in the school system. For those of you who don’t need to worry about FERPA or supervised iPads or administrator passwords, just continue on with your happy lives. For you brave souls in IT, read on for the answers to common questions.

HOW MANY GAMES DO YOU HAVE?
We have four games available now, a fifth will be in beta by July 4 and thus available for summer.

HOW DO STUDENTS GET USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS?
For all games, we recommend teachers assign the student username and password because students forget them, but having students register on their own is also an option.

DO WE NEED TO INSTALL THE GAMES ON COMPUTERS/ IPADS OR ARE THE ACCESSED FROM THE WEB?
Forgotten Trail – runs on Chromebook, Mac or Windows. NO INSTALL REQUIRED.  We will give you a page where your students can register and play the game. Teaches fractions, statistics and history.  Recommended for grades 5 -7.
Making Camp – runs on Chromebook, Mac or Windows in a browser with no install required. Can also be installed on iPad or Android tablet for better performance, which is recommended.
